i thoguth cd4 positive was the outside membrane of a tcell that acts as a receptor for hiv not an explosive? well;Charles darwin was agnostic,"He was always insistent that he was agnostic and had "never been an atheist"., its funny how you made non believers of yourselves from the work of a person who doesn't know if God exists or not?

C4 just like to push peoples buttons.

c4 is worrying me slightly because they r such hypocrites, they show dakings and and then do a series presenting islam as peaceful and get slammed by ofcom for making a documentry disputing global warming.

For all those living in britain I see channel 4 are showing a documentary tomorrow night called The Genius of Charles Darwin. Looks like it should be good. I think Richard Dawkins is presenting it, that would be an added bonus!

Maybe the neanderthals are from a much more distant line of apes than us. I think it is fascinating stuff. There are many different classification of hominids that lived millions of years ago. I wonder if we were the most aggressive and perhaps intelligent of the lot and thats why we took over.
RobDeManc (January 1, 1970 at 11:59 am)
I don't think its an actual debate I think its more speculation. I watched a documentary once about it and have read about it. Apparently we co-existed with neanderthals for a few thousand years and its possible we interbred. I think many animals have the ability to reason. A predater must reason when it is scoping its prey. Chimps must have reasoning abilities as they have a social structure. The main difference is what we reason about maybe?

I'm not aware of that debate, those that do debate that must not be aware that we've sequenced Neaderthal DNA. I think its perfectly valid to say we are nothing more than another animal, the ability to reason isn't much to separate us from other species.
RobDeManc (January 1, 1970 at 11:59 am)
But I thought there was some debate about whether we interbred with Neanderthals? For that to be possible we would have to have very similar DNA. Regarding modern apes: Imagine if we did not not keep them at bay by destroying their habitat, would they increase in number and variety and so allow their intelligence to become more prominent? Hmmm I think its an amazing thing to wonder about....but I often think that we assign ourself this special uniqueness subjectively.
