[Contains no graphic images] Animal Welfare League's (AWL) annual event "It's a Dog's Breakfast" is held annually around Feb 25 each year. AWL invites Australian residents to come join the fun this yearly event from 7am to 1oam at Doug Jennings Park The Spit Gold Coast Qld Australia. The 2006 annual event was the first of its kind held by Animal Welfare League on the Gold Coast Qld Australia. The event was to highlight the fact that 200,000 plus healthy homeless dogs and cats die in shelters each year in Australia. This is unacceptable. To find out more about AWL visit http://www.awlqld.com.au. It's a Dogs Breakfast 2006 was very successful with various forms of entertainment. Many of the public attended with their four legged companions, many were shelter dogs adopted from Animal Welfare League. Remember, don't buy dogs and cats from pet shops, adopt from your local shelter. Too many die because there are not enough homes.
