You are clearly an intelligent person. If you like, we could add up religious genocide versus non-religious genocide and declare a winner. Before we do that, though, how did atheism make these people kill?Also, let's not get into the arguments as to whether some of the people you mentioned were actually atheists. (Ssssshhhhhh, I won't tell if you don't!)

CornCob, Let me rephrase the assertion since one could argue that you can not kill in the name of atheism, because atheism does not have a name in the way God does. But another(hint me) might argue that more have killed because of atheism, even though it lacks a name and more specifically because it worships no name.Sorry for the confusion... Atheistic regimes like Pol Pots, Stalins,Mao,Hitler,Mussolini, etc...Peace

bitho, The point you are trying to make is so far from the realities of Christ. If you would like to try to make meaningful ridicules, you should atleast know something of religion and faith. Do at least some homework, then you might make a comment that is grounded in something substantial...like how many people have died because of religion. That is true after all but it was done more in the name of hubris, not in Christ. And besides atheist regimes have killed way more than Christian regimes.
