Pink retracted her comments, after she was shown the truth about Petas lies. What do you people think will happen to the merino sheep in Australia, if the peta wool boycott forces merino sheep farms in Australia to change. The unwanted merino sheep are NOT going to simply live out their lives in peace on the farms. If they are not needed for their wool then they WILL END UP ON A SHIP TO THE MIDDLE EAST, and finish up as someones lunch. Is this what Peta really want, Because IT WILL HAPPEN.

Dont be miss lead by Peta. They are not to be trusted. GJeromes dosent have the guts to respond to my comments or allow my video response. Mulesing saves sheep from dieing with flys and maggots.

Pink retracted her comments, after she was shown the truthPETA has miss led every body. Mulesing is not the barbaric practise they would have you to think. Only small areas of skin are removed, and at NO time any FLESH removed, and they also use a pain relief. This is far different from the hideous video clips circulated by PETA.PETA is using the Australian wool industry as a high profile target to generate income for itself.Watch my video waratah NSW, Save the Sheep

Imagine being eaten alive, from the arse first. Imagine having live maggots crawling over the open wounds around your back, around you backside, under your skin. After a few months of that, imagine the constant agony of your back legs- which by now have no skin. The maggots now attack your muscles and the bone underneith are exposed, raw and bloody. You may think this is a brutal discription, but it is the very real description of the alternative to mulesing. Take a look yourself:

As I said, my expereince was that almost no animals die form this procedure. The baby pain thing is interesting - I heard an intersting story on NPR about it. But sheep are not humans. Higher order mammals - yes.If you dont like the practice, dont buy wool.

Wild sheep havent been selected to produce the same quality or volume of wool that commercial merinos have. Thus, they are not so prone to the problems of comercailly bred animals. What wool growers in Austrlai are now trying to do is breed sheep that do not require mulesing. Obviously this will take some time to achieve. Not sure what American ranchers do, but their flock is tiny, they breed mainly for meat, labor costs are cheaper and the environment is different.
