I saw them live in Tulsa, OK. The local Classic Rock station KMOD really helped them gain some popularity. Thanks Phil & Brent!! Local blues rock band Glenn R Townsend opened. "Reach Around" by GRT was great live and so was this song. What a fantastic concert! They rocked so loud my ears rang for 3 wks. Never forget how cool it was watching Mato jam jam jam from 15 ft.

If you ever get the chance to see this band live, you MUST. I was completely blown out of the water, when I saw them in Fargo a few years ago. While, I like their studio recordings, Indigenous is truly a live band.

Mato took a lot from SRV and it shows in a good way. Can't complain about modern guitarists using SRV and Hendrix as role models...

Comparing Mato to SRV is like trying to compare SRV to Jimi Hendrix, They are/were some of the greatest players in their own right, they forrowed from others and created their own style that stands by itself.
