I live in Philadelphia in America, and I heard two Australian guys singing this song while they drank. Nice to know where this song came from.

i remeber in year 2 i had a NEW ZELAND TEACHER CALLED Mr Moet who was a funny and he left and all of the school sang this song

the abs hated working - it was not in their nature so the "colonial" thing of "offering the locals the opportunity employments without the complication of salary" did not appeal so they would rather be shot than work - so a lot were "let loose"

The abs were only included on the Oz Govt census as humans in (circa)1967. before this - they were listed as flora and fauna
