Hey, wait a second, Captain - I thought the moon was "a drip on a dark hood"?!!! Ha ha ha. My first introduction to Mr. Van Vliet was on Trout Mask Replica (a good place to start, eh?) and was subsequently blown away by his idiosyncratic genius and the tightness of his Magic Band - God, those guys could stop on a dime! I still think Lick My Decals Off, Baby was the Captain's best effort. one of the authentic geniuses in rock music...
